FINRA barred former Western International Securities and Financial West Group (Irvine and Westlake Village, CA) broker Margareta Theresia Childs aka Margareta Klopf of San Juan Capistrano after she failed to respond to a request for information.

According to stockbroker Margareta Childs (CRD #1495891)'s BrokerCheck report, a customer in February 2019 filed a dispute alleging breach of loan agreements, estoppel, money lent, fraud, and constructive trust.

The complaint, which has evolved into civil litigation according to the docket of the Orange County Superior Court of California in Santa Ana, seeks over $208,000 in damages.

It alleges that Childs' misconduct began at Financial West Group and continued at Western International Securities after she left the former firm for the latter in August 2017.

An outstanding judgment/lien disclosure in Childs' report in the amount of $16,363 was filed in 2016 by American Express Bank, while a $70,000 complaint filed by a customer alleging churning, filed in 1997 when Childs was associated with Paulson Investment Company of Portland, Oregon, was denied.
